7. I am not prone to liking religious ceremonies or even regular rites.

I now find myself going to weddings, funerals and a few other occasions that are for people who mean a lot to me. I have seen my share of funerals and weddings.

This made me smile because it was such a delightful surprise that made the occasion memorable. Too many ceremonies only use the rites that have been part of these moments forever.

I thought this was not only unusual but also a way to really bring joy to all the people there. IMO joy needs to be in much more abundance in ceremonies about love.
