What I would like to see more, is for the President to take a principled stand and tell the American people that this law is too vague in its handling of core American ideals like liberty and freedom and then veto the bill on those grounds (like he initially said that he would). It's time for this man to show us what he's really made of...great speeches are nice and make us feel a little better for a while but, we need a leader. Leadership has to come from a position of strength, from having the integrity to stick to your guns when you tell the American people that you're going to do something (like, for instance, veto a piece of un-American and egregious legislation as he said he would with this very bill) because it's the right thing to do. To quote a notorious goofball, "The only things found in the middle of the road are yellow lines and dead armadillos." (I don't agree with Kinky Friedman very often but he was spot on with that one!)
