Light bulbs for lamps with clip on shades [View all]

I have a couple of lamps that have the type of shade that sits on the lightbulb by way of a metal wire resting on each side of the bulb. I just realized that don't make 100 watt incandescent bulbs any more.

I see that there are some LED bulbs that might work with this type of shade but they don't have any high watt ones in the supermarket. I'll have to go to a hardware store. I'm wondering if there are any florescent varieties that might be cheaper that could work for this type of lamp. Does any one know off hand if anything besides an led will work? A couple of these lamps aren't used very often and a cheaper florescent bulb would do. I'll eventually get to Home Depot or Lowes so no big deal but I'm curious what people have been using the last few years. Thanks.
