15. Oliver has very little to offer

He doesn't know Zimmerman that well and apparently Zimmerman never confided in him about anything in his life. Oliver wasn't a witness to the shooting and isn't talking about his recent conversation with Zimmerman. And evidence of Zimmerman's good character, even if Oliver had anything is not relevant.

There's something more here than meets the eye. Even if a close childhood friend was implicated in a terrible murder, I wouldn't be telling the world that I was certain he didn't commit the crime based on a gut feeling. I'd rather keep my silence but not tell lies. I don't understand where Oliver is coming from. If I had been cross-examined and humiliated the way he was tonight, I would have probably walked away and yet Oliver stayed. He doesn't seem stupid or oblivious,either. Why go through this?
