BTW, this law doesn't make a criminal out of anyone for owning anything. It just prevents people from buying and selling ivory products without certifying the legality and authenticity of the ivory. Without such rules, smugglers can easily pass poached ivory for antique ivory. And we know this because that's what's happening now.
