9. What expenses are involved in graduation from high school these days?

Back in the 70s when I graduated, I think the only real expense was the cap & gown rental, which wasn't a burden. Parents usually threw parties for their graduates, but that was optional. We didn't have to pay for our diploma - it was public school, after all. Every time I read about school today I can't believe how it's changed.
