I lived on Onondaga Hill for years in an area adjacent to the Onondaga Indian Reservation. The only thing I can remember is the tribe demanding all the land returned to them. You can understand that our family and people in the area weren't too supportive of our properties being returned to the tribe about something a century ago.
The area is breathtaking in its beauty. I've just never been a proponent of people wanting things that their ancestors fought and lost - either land or agreements made by people on both sides who are now long dead. Like everything else there should be a statute of limitations.
