I agree with that 110%! I also have a great doctor, and documented diagnosis. I'm on disability and my neurosurgeon said I'll never work again. I'm on 2 pound lifting restrictions for the rest of my life (though I do exceed my lifting limits a lot). I have tethered cord syndrome at the C-4 level, where my spinal cord has attached itself to my vertebra, and if it rips loose it'll drop me where I stand..paralyzed from the neck down, which also means my respiratory system will shut down and I'll stop breathing on my own.
I'm glad you're doing better and you're able to work now. Quality of life is everything! I remember the days of being in that fetal position... and hurting so bad that all I could think of was that death would be such a sweet relief from the pain, but I was never suicidal and could never even *think* of killing myself. The ONLY time I EVER had those thoughts were when they had me on anti-depressants... and I got off of those quickly!
Peace,
Ghost
