(61,033 posts)117. IMO Snowden was a naive computer geek . . .
who got in way over his head. He went too far with the international revelations about our covert operations.
I agree with the domestic revelations but he didn't stop there. His fans won't acknowledge that too hard I guess for them to process, or admit, that their hero is also a defector who divulged details of covert international operations.
And he may very well have been turned/worked by a seasoned operative who look for young, naive innocents in security positions.
Don't think Snowden will be vindicated at all and making a Putin stooge of himself in the Q&A appearance seems to be the beginning of the unraveling of the hero worship around him.
