so I am not surprised by your experience. The Europeans are way ahead of us in looking at non-surgical alternatives, (including acupuncture+conventional pain management+physical therapy as an alternative to "cutting"
. The dogma is very strong in many areas of western medicine--no where more than orthopedics, even though true comparative trials have never even been contemplated.
But fwiw, it seems most here are interpreting the OP's intent as I did. He doesn't seem to be correcting that impression as of yet.
