And it has prevented....oh wait, it didn't.

I am guessing the people who plan on using their gun to do something criminal (like shooting people) probably aren't going to just throw up their hands and go "Oh...crap, It is against the law to carry my gun into a bar!" and then stay at home and watch wheel of fortune.
