I walk this world as a black woman. It's the world I inhabit. But for some reason - I have a fear of self identifying with my ethnic and religious heritage - i.e. Passover at one of my maternal great grandmother's homes. You know why? You would be amazed at some of the things I've heard raised in the Baptist church, attending a high school and university that were Catholic - and it's no wonder I ran to the Unitarian Church.
