29. I was watching the weather
Mon Apr 28, 2014, 01:37 AM
Apr 2014

a good part of the day as it has been spotty here. But then I decided to watch the eagle cam in Decorah, IA and it occurred to me taht they might be in the line of this monster system. They have been having high winds and some nasty thunderstorms which were ending right about the time these twisters hit. I had two weather site going and saw this whole things start to develop but was called away for a while. When I came back online, I found this info... still just horrified.

I used to drive through that whole part of the US for decades and have had a couple close calls with tornadoes and lightning... this is the stuff of my storm nightmares from back then. Gives me chills, might be a while before I can sleep tonight thinking about everyone in that part of the country.

Gonna be a rough summer for a lot of folks, I'm thinking.

This is so bad that witnesses are obviously victims too.
