The folks who don't live in tornado ally have no fucking clue how quickly this stuff can develop or how valuable a warning on DU might be. Last week...
LAST WEEK....
I was in northern Oklahoma just outside OKC. Since we work outdoors (carnival and amusement industry) I keep a bloody close eye on the weather. We are getting ready to tear down and jump to the next town, and I see storm towers to the southwest looking like the are about to punch through the top and go critical. So I check the radar on my phone. It's totally clear. No watches, no warnings, nothing on radar. Fifteen minutes later the sirens go off. I happened to be looking at the sky but could as easily been surfing DU, like I am right now. If someone offers a warning the proper answer is "Thank you."
