6. Zimmerman's mindset is that of a vigilante.

Simply put the man is a vigilante. He was a self styled 'protector' of values that he does not truly possess. He has neither the wisdom nor integrity to uphold said values. It's a psychological complex that allows him to feel like a hero. In the end it's all about himself. He needs to feel great for some reason or other, to stand out above other people so he grabs a gun and calls himself a 'defender'. He's nothing of the sort. But in order to continue to live in his fantasy of being 'protector' and upholder of justice he needs to feel like someone else is in the wrong. It's not hard to unravel.
