I see a Corvette go by. A few seconds later, a guy walks by, pauses to toss something into the trash can next to me, and mutters as he stares after the Corvette, "A freakin' 'vette? I'm an independent contractor, and that guy paid me 500 bucks for 3 months' work and he shows up in a 'vette?" The Corvette owner is a one-percenter, maybe?
