16. I want you all to carefully observe a political species near extinction

Col. Wilkerson is an HONORABLE REPUBLICAN. Quick, name two more still in public life that can match that claim.

I do have a criticism, though. He was in the bubble before the war and bought into the CIA Cheney basement stovepipe manufacture of bullshit intel. I was a mere average citizen and DU reader and I read enough to convince me the "intelligence" was nothing more than these hell bent on war chicken hawks cherry picking intel that support their goals. Even when it was from known liars and con men like Chalibi and curveball and all that other coerced bullshit they presented as irrefutable fact.

Watching their mendacity through the lens of history is galling. Mostly because when they warn of a smoking gun in the form of a mushroom cloud, we all know THEY KNEW THEY WERE LYING WHEN THEY WERE SAYING IT!

If lying your country into an unnecessary war isn't treason, then what the hell is?
