What is this talk of scarlet letters? Sounds like more slut-shaming to me!

ML was 20 years old, an intern. Sex happens. Sometimes inappropriately. This is nothing new.

The entire rightwing (& some of the left) mocked her, called her names. What the media did is beyond explanation. In fact. that's when I stopped reading Maureen Dowd, who's obsession w/ ML was downright creepy.

What closure has ML had on this? BC's a revered ex-pres. HRC's pushing to become the next president. This very promising young woman's life was truncated by a sexual relationship w/ the most powerful man in the world who should have known better.

C'mon, have some compassion. What if we all had to live our entire lives around an early sexual encounter that humiliated & shamed us & there was no way we could ever shake it? We've already seen too many kids raped, the videos posted, then bullied, then kill themselves.
