I must have been feeling masochistic this AM but not TOO much. [View all]

I've always believed in knowing what the other side does and says, so I very occasionally listen to rush limbooger at time when I know I'll be able to get to a shower quickly. I've also suffered through many a republican national convention.

The reason I'm saying that I was feeling masochistic today is that I decided to watch "atlas shrugged" on Netflix streaming. I know that ayn rand is the "inspiration" for much of what passes for thought among the modern right wing. I can't really bear the thought of going to the library (because I'd never spend any of my very little money on her) and spending deveral days reading her drivel, so I thought that a little more than an hour and a half of watching the movie wouldn't hurt.

BOY HOWDY was I wrong!

After an hour of watching the "heroes" of this piece of wasted celluliod, I learned that the "all for me and my company" belief is good, the idea of helping others makes you a wimp, and that I DON'T CARE who john galt is. For one of the few times in my life, I turned a movie off not just because it was bad, but because it was downright PAINFUL!

And this was only part one. Jeeezis!

If I recall correctly, this crap didn't make enough money to justify part two even being made. More than likely however, given the fanaticism of the right of 2012, it will be made just so thousands of right wingers can have the entire "epic" prominently displayed on their DVD shelves. If they weren't so damn stupid and driven by their twisted soft headed notions, I'd say "poor bastards".

The poor bastards, however, are those like me who attempt to sit through it or, even worse, the ones who force themselves to finish it.

Poor bastards!

PEACE!
