But should be used sparingly if you really want to enjoy nature, not just zip through it on a sight-seeing tour.
Driving to your deer stand in an ATV, shooting a deer, and then driving out again on an ATV isn't far removed from simply driving to the local grocery store and picking up a roast for dinner, IMO.
Maybe that's why so many hunters I see these days look more and more like this: 
They need to get out and walk a little more, ride a little less.
