I have more than my sufficiency of cynicism, thanks; but--speaking of "shitty"--it's rather like taking a dump, there's a time and a place.
It's very useful to have an "appropriateness governor" to gauge when's the right time to crap, and when's the right time to just hold it.
You'd have done well to just resist the urge, IMO.
