It saddens me that portions of our country are run by politicians who care more about scoring political points than caring for their most vulnerable citizens. I cannot understand how they can live with themselves. It seems to me that at some point, the sheer immorality of denying their constituency the access to, in some cases life or death, medical care would be too much to bear. Maybe that would require a conscience which they may not have the privilege of owning.
I also wonder where are the men of the cloth, the preachers, the reverends, the rabbis. They should be raising holy hell about this. I don't think it would sit well with the person they profess to worship for them to stay silent on such a matter of basic helping of one's fellow man.
