...and 'he' and Donald Sterling were married, with all the legal safety nets, loop holes, et al... I'm guessing that 'he' would still maintain fiscal autonomy regarding his 50% share of the team.

I'll confess my dearth of knowledge when it comes to marriage law. Are you saying that something in the marriage contract would automatically strip 'him' of protection when it comes to the vulnerability of personal assets?

Don't married couples have separate bank accounts, stock portfolios, etc.?...
