The thing about the woman with the hateful sign - if it wasn't for that gal with the slushee, then none of us would have known about the hateful bigoted woman. She would have disappeared back into the nothingness she came from. Instead one small act of violence now elevated this woman to a folk hero for the right wing. Faux News and the Tea Party supporters love stories like this where someone was simply expressing their 1st amendment rights. Now she is famous thanks to a slushee toss.
Had no one tossed a slushee this woman would have been non-existant to the rest of the world. And btw other people did protest, mainly just yelling things back at her.
