but I'm not sure how effective it will be as troll flypaper. After all, for most trolls, the point of being a troll is to be a shit-disturber, so unless they want to shit-disturb across the political spectrum and Discussionist gives them one-stop shopping, they'll likely remain here. It could be that most of our caver trolls will spend more of their time as Discussionist rather than here, simply because they can last longer.

I'm not sure how or even if the Meta-style threads could be curbed, unless there's community consensus for that. There do seem to be more people willing to enforce civility there than there are here; whether that's the "new car" effect or the early adopters of Discussionist have consistently higher expectations is hard to say.
