78. It's started a lot earlier than that!

Today there is a wall of water about to be passing over the region. Upriver regions are already drenched and beginning to overflow. By tomorrow the Potomac at Georgetown will be at six feet and nearing flood stage by Saturday night.

At this point I'm actually hoping for a pretty decent turnout, because they'll quickly churn their little pig-sty section of the mall into a muddy quagmire, which will be the most miserable for those most deserving people who actually make the trip. Then they'll get to sit there and listen to blaring loudspeakers in the cold rain without any beer, because Saint Ronnie made drinking beer on the Mall illegal.

Some of them, no doubt, will be soaking, shivering and blocking the left side of the Metro escalators with their plus-sized butts as real Americans try to work around them. I am so glad I won't be there to see it!
