245. Why...didn't Mama pick her boy up when she ran back to the house? WTH was that about?

I am totally impressed by the cat, however. Just in awe.

NPR says the dog was put down. Good idea. I assume they're testing it for rabies, because that was just not normal behavior.

I was about that age when I was jumped (but thankfully not bitten) by a German Shepherd. I was just crossing the street to show my friend my new toy, but in the dog's opinion the street was his, I think. When you are little a dog like that is very big: I still remember him being as big as a lion with a lion's roar and teeth. My parents and various neighbors came running at the aggressive barking punctuated by my screams. It took me years to stop being afraid of all but the smallest dogs.
