110. It looks like it's off to the kind of start they wanted.

Lots of users quickly, lots of posts, lots of ideological differences, juries taking out a little bit of the trash just as they do here.
I don't know if I'll sign up for it though. There are plenty of other unmoderated places like it and Skinner did warn that if one hates the jury system....well, I don't hate it but it's an ineffectual tool for keeping the discussion civil here and for that reason I doubt that I'd like posting there. The threads I've read are full of snark and lighter in content than the typical DU thread. Eh, could change my mind later.

I've seen several posters here suggest that the worst troll/disruptor type will go to discussionist and leave DU alone but I think that it's more likely that those who like to behave badly here will continue to do so AND post disruptively on discussionist.

I do hope though that admin, having created a space where right wing viewpoints are acceptable, will finally claw back the TOS here to conform a bit more closely to center-left Democratic viewpoints.
