In reply to the discussion: Elizabeth Warren again today: “I’m not running for president.” [View all]bravenak
(34,648 posts)3. There are quite a few people who are not going to believe her.
She'll have to announce it every few days for the next year.
Then they'll probably just start a write in campaign.
I find it strange that she has to keep saying it over and over.

Isn't it a bit early to accuse anyone of "laziness" in regard to the 2016 election?

No, considering I reached out to Brian Schweitzer in 2012...and to "Ready for Hillary" in 2013

I haven't seen anyone "insist" that Warren is running. I've only seen people wishing/hoping

It is weird how passionate people are about defending the claim that she won't run.

But it's pretty cool that after only a year in office, so many are asking the question

but she has repeatedly and with much disdain for being asked over and over the same question...

that's good because like you ...Elizabeth Warren has been encouraging Hillary Clinton to run!

That would be sort of confusing, since she asked Hillary Clinton to run first...

why would you want to "convince" someone to do something they have said repeatedly that

maybe if the media pesters her enough eventually she will say yes just so they will leave her alone.

I feel like the objective of the many posts informing EW supporters that EW says she is not running

Repeatedly posting "she's NOT running" and "she endorsed Hillary" takes care of that. n/t

I don't think she wants to run. Campaigns can be brutal and she probably doesn't want it.

Maybe she isn't, dunno....I'm just saying this premature reading of tea leaves is kinda silly

People HAVE been trying to convince her to run. Please don't claim people are not trying.
