because this guy has always been a bit wild, but lately he's been pretty disrespectful of the students, even saying they gave him the stupid kids. He's from Senegal, so is a native french speaker, but the whole year has not had the students use a workbook or textbook OR given them any homework to do. All the classwork has been done from the board and copied down. Approx. 50% of the class (and this is supposedly Honors French) is made up of kids who have not had a language at all in middle school -- through no fault of their own. They don't pick their own schedule, their courses are assigned. He's refused to let kids out of his room, even when the principal has called for him to send them down to the office. I can think of a lot of nicknames for him, but the best (and probably most polite) would be "Little Tyrant".
