23. wha? you calling your representative, or the amendment?

It seems to me it's a sensible fiscal measure to stop giving money to the Dept. of Justice to prosecute medical marijuana states when such laws have existed in a few of them since the late 1990s, and more and more states are coming on board for this issue.

I can very well imagine this would happen because Sanjay Gupta made the face of medical marijuana a little girl named Charlotte, who suffers from Dravet's Syndrome Epilespy. People saw the positive change in that child, and others - and entire families have picked up and moved to live where their children can use something as a medicine that's safer than any pharmaceutical.

To me, it would be the height of foolishness to give money to support arrests for parents of children with epilepsy - but, hey, Congress has done a lot of foolish things. Hope they get this one right.
