62. My hero is Paul Wellstone

He was a loyal true blue Democrat. He worked hard to help them win.

But he also disagreed with the Democratic Establishment and President Clinton on a number of things. And he was not shy abut expressing those disagreements, or occasionally filing bills that contradicted the "centrist" party line or called something the administration was doing to task.

But here on DU, too often people who have a similar attitude are blamed for "dividing" Democrats or not being loyal. I am not talking about actual trolls, but the people who support Democrats, want to enthusiastically support Democrats -- but get frustrated and angry when Democrats do things that seem more like satisfying the Corporate/Wall St. Agenda or fail to stand up and offer a clear alternatives to GOP policies and actions.
