The DEMOCRATIC candidate for Governor in Wisconsin, Mary Burke. Mary's famous for supporting charter schools, voting against the teacher's union and, as President of Trek Bicycle, outsourcing Wisconsin jobs to China. She describes herself as a "fiscal conservative" and has praised Scott Walker's union busting budget.

Mary Burke: Im a fiscal conservative
According to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Democratic gubernatorial frontrunner Mary Burke called herself a fiscal conservative during a meeting on Tuesday with Milwaukee business leaders.
While I understand that calling herself a fiscal conservative will win her some votes among moderates and independents, its certainly not going to win her many fans among her base, and Im disappointed that the candidate most likely to end up as the Democratic standard-bearer against Gov. Scott Walker is proud to call herself a fiscal conservative, because when I think of fiscal conservatives I dont think of Democrats wholl stand up for the middle class I think of Democrats like Chris Abele, whos proven hes certainly no champion of the largely middle class public employees who work for Milwaukee County.
Whats more, when I think of fiscal conservatives, I think of Scott Walker and Glenn Grothmann, and if thats the kind of company Mary Burke wants to be associated with as fellow fiscal conservatives, then I think Ive officially entered the Twilight Zone.

BURKE: "In terms of the fiscal picture, there is no doubt that the first budget that [Walker] introduced and that he implemented significantly improved the financial situation of the state, because the state was coming out of this downturn, in 2008 and 2010, revenues were going down, there were, you know, the structural deficit grew, and basically he got rid of the structural deficit."

I want to see progressive Democrats elected, not just conservatives posing as Democrats.

Yeah, "Party Loyalty" is a major factor in creating the mess of corruption we see today.

That description seems to apply to Europe and other parts of the world, not the US.
