because this looks like a "List of the Forbidden."

And, as a Democrat I'm totally AGAINST FREE SPEECH...whether it's book bannings of anyone we don't agree with or our Own if we don't agree with them.

This list of "Forbiddens" seems against the reasons American Immigrants to fled Prosecution for their Views fled the countries they lived in....to come here for opportunity from oppression.

America's complicated past also had "Salem Witch Trials" and Senator McCarthy/J. Edgar Hoover/FBI Dark times in our history.

But we need to still stop any movement that what one reads should be banned in an open and free society from DISCUSSION.

I fear DU is suddenly dropping into some Orwellian Group Speak...! And if not, "Book Bannings" there is "CAUTION" for "WHAT YOU READ...because it is "FROM UNAPPROVED SOURCES" ...yet those sources are never fully vetted nor posted so that people can be aware that their posts are "UNAPPROVE OF" and Subject to BANNING along with "THE POSTER."

NOT GOOD. This sounds like TeaParty/RW Conservatives who have worked hard and long to control what we read, think and do in our lives. To see this kind of suppression on a Democratic Site is disheartening and in many ways SHOCKING.
