143. K&R The biggest enemy of all, of course, being corporate money.

For it is what makes all these people so easily grown from the Heritage petri dish and loosed upon our democracy.
Show me an idea that is bad for our environment, people and dare I say it, even cats. It will have its origins in the free flow of corporate cash distorting our politicians & propagandizing our population.
The only answer in the face of such overwhelming and malignant evil is to refuse to be a happy cog.

We have faced many calamities in our short history. Dictatorships, wars, slavery, religious persecutions, starvation and torture. Our ancestors eventually overcame many of them. Sometimes they took decades, sometimes centuries.
None of them were overcame by being as productive and obliging a partaker in them as they could be. They were overcome by people we today call heroes. They only ended when people refused to be a part of something that made them die inside a little until it overwhelmed them. Small little deaths that sociopaths never notice and make progressive minds wince.

The future we are breeding, that science and our brightest minds confirm we are breeding, outweighs all those old victories by a long shot. A very long shot. We don't have decades, we sure as hell don't have centuries. All we have is today to start living a life that creates a better world for our children. Only today matters, the rest is soon to be forgotten history.
