I don't know why I am so surprised, but it is amazing and sickening to me how little simple human compassion is being shown to this young man and his family.

All this conjecture and speculation, all this vitriol, even here on this board. It makes me wonder what we've become. Let the poor man recover. Let him come home to his family. Yes, we need to find out what happened to him and why. But why contribute to the feeding frenzy?

Up until Saturday, the right, the left, "patriots" all were happily participating in "Bring Bowe Home" activities. I've seen them and the accompanying bumper stickers, here in my little town in Florida. Now it's happened and suddenly he's a traitor, a pariah? How did these people expect him to be freed?

Let's take some time and give the family some space. Geez.
