We'll see about the legitimacy of the SYG laws then. Of course, even if they're being "fairly" administered, that just means that we've devolved into a shoot first, wild West mentality. None of these laws are good for society. PERIOD.
However I think that if a couple of black people get away with killing unarmed white people under the SYG law, those laws would QUICKLY be amended or repealed.
Or maybe they would just go ahead and write the law so that it just applies to white on black vigilantism. Why not just make the racist nature blatant. It doesn't seem to matter how blatant it is now in other areas. Why not the law too?
