(2,413 posts)and you come across an open carry demonstrator with his semi auto proudly displayed. Up to this point the day has seemed uneventful, and nothing out of the ordinary has taken place. Which of the following is the FIRST thought that is probably going to spring to mind?
1). You think to yourself, "Gee, I'm sure glad that fellow is here to protect me from any terrorists that might be storming the mall this afternoon, I certainly feel safer for his armed presence!".
2.) You look around, trying to find out what possible reason there is for someone to be packing heat in the middle of the supermarket parking lot. You feel vaguely uneasy, but try to sidle closer to your armed protector, figuring he knows what he is doing and will protect you too. After all, your both Americans, right?
3.) The minute you see some nut job armed to the teeth in a location that doesn't warrant it, you know your'e dealing with a sick individual, and you leave as quickly as possible, prior, hopefully, to becoming collateral damage in the latest NRA publicity stunt.
I'm betting we could actually use this as a teapartier identity screening.
