(27,461 posts)23. Getting it wrong was a requirement to advance
to the highest levels of the next Democratic administration. Clinton, Kerry, Biden, all "yes" on Iraq, all with top foreign policy jobs.
And even before that, it was a requirement to be nominated to the Democratic ticket for president in 2004. Kerry and Edwards of course both voted for that resolution.
