"I know that the teabaggers are still out there and, newsflash, they are NEVER going away! That doesn't mean that I have to let their drivel go unanswered OR that I have to respect them in the least. Our local Democratic Chairlady points out that the teabaggers' beliefs are sincere. I always counter that by saying that the beliefs of the Salem witch hunters were sincere also...and THEY were BS, too!"

Don't EVER let them get the last word!!! If I ran MSNBC, I'd cast that one in bronze, have it ground into the marble walls in the lobby of NBC News at 30 Rock, and mandate that ALL talent and other on-camera types agree to that contractually. Don't EVER let what they say stand unchallenged or unquestioned. Because if that's permitted, if THAT is what's allowed to stand when the segment ends, and if THAT is the last thing people remember hearing or seeing, THAT is what's going to stick. THAT is the message that will be the takeaway. Plus it'll trigger the unconscious reaction - "well, you didn't say anything. Guess it must be true, then."

NEVER let that shit stand.
