(75,480 posts)33. It's going to take all of us to get this reversed.
Although we don't have open carry in California, we do have Wal-Mart and Target. I am writing them to tell them that I refuse to shop for my toiletries and towels in a store that carries guns and ammo. Guns should be sold in gun shops not retail stores that also sell toys and household goods. Even if we can't get our lawmakers to do the right thing, maybe we can get the stores to by appealing to their profit motives, In states like Texas I hope people boycott stores and restaurants who don't have a policy against armed men wandering around their stores.
