And IF there was, the military will be able to produce it, no? Surely they would not throw it away?

As for the NYT, remember Judith Miller, remember the Rendon Group? The Rendon Group was hired by Bush et al to 'sell the War in Iraq'.

They used journalists to 'funnel stories to' in major news organizations, people like Judith Miller eg. Which is how we got the lies in so called credible news organizations like the NYT.

Looks like we have another PR Firm 'selling' the Bergdahl is a traitor' story. Looks like the source of this note story may be one of the 'disgruntled soldiers' they have been using, one of whom apparently received a 'less than honorable discharge' himself to funnel stories to the NYT and others.
