We would all like the entire world to wake up at once and end all sorts of injustices, but huge shifts take time. It can be really frustrating because people are suffering NOW and I really think that vast, vast majority of us on the liberal side of things want that to end. But as things change, those who have it good under the current/old system are going to feel attacked and as though they are being dragged down, so they are going to fight and get crazier and angrier and more hateful the more "losses" they suffer. They world is changing around them and they are being left behind. As they have fewer and fewer means of keeping things the way they want them, they are going to get more and more desperate. Thankfully, a LOT of that is just a lot of hateful crap spewed on the internet.
