There is a wider issue concerning those with whom they had an association, those with whom they share anti-American ideologies that include insurrection and the critical feature of terrorist guerrilla warfare. Those are issues that concern all of us and are also the most mixed and confused. There is danger in confusing actual acts of violence and concern for actual threats of violence which can evolve into undeserved responses toward people or groups even if they are misguided or guilty by promotion of violent hate.
I think none of the opinions expressed in these comment have expanded to the point of irrational response necessarily. But the increasing threat and bravado of people who share similar anti-government sentiments to the suicide murderers even if they would not/could not act upon it, increases the likelihood that extremists who would commit such atrocities may gain a level of mania where they would act.
There are too many outward threats being thrown about and they must be taken seriously. But it's too human even if mistaken to broad brush. People including myself are becoming very concerned and aware of a nature in this country that is dangerous and based on ignorance. If there is anything to fear it's ignorance.
