5 million and Brat only a quarter of a million.

Money is the poison that has polluted politics in this country. So a Dem loaded with money, as Cantor was, may NOT be an advantage at all.

I don't know Brat at all so don't know if he used Cantor's money against him.

But I don't want corporate funded candidates. And more people are feeling the same way. The truth is all that money BUYS a candidate and once elected, who are they beholden to?

I think it's VERY interesting that money DID NOT talk in this election, and imo that is one good thing about it.

Things ARE changing, people realize that their elected officials are not necessarily working for them anymore, they work for who pays for their campaigns.

I will have to go see if Brat used this to defeat Cantor.

I find it very positive to learn that an underfunded candidate, especially in the Money Party, defeated a top funded powerful member of Congress. That contradicts everything we have come to expect over the past few years.

'Money Talks'. Well not this time for whatever reason. And that, imo, is GOOD news for Real Liberal Dems who will never be funded by Corporations. With the changing views of the working class, this is a big issue candidates can use against their well funded opponents now.
