(22,271 posts)I can see her running against Hillary in the primaries but her method would be something like, "I greatly admire Hillary Clinton . . . BUT, we have some fundamental differences . . ." She's too classy to bash Hillary and, frankly, there are plenty of PACs that will do it for her even if she doesn't approve. If Hillary were to get the nomination yes, she would campaign for her; however, by doing that, she runs the risk of losing credibility among her base because, let's face it, Hillary has never represented anyone but Hillary and the 1%. Warren will have to choose her words very carefully.
It's vital that progressives and Democrats have a choice via the primary process. This whole "Hillary is inevitable" achieves exactly the opposite of what her fan base intends. It's perceived (and actually is) as a coronation which just affirms the fact they aren't being heard. It's hard enough to get people out to the voting booth, even in presidential election years. If people feel their concerns aren't being addressed, and they won't be if Hillary is coronated (spellcheck says that isn't a word), then even more on "our" side will stay home on election day and, unless the Republicans run someone from the Clown Car (something I thought would not happen until Cantor was beaten by a teaklanner), the result will be the Democrats lose the White House.
