3. In a single statement she identifies the problem

in typical Clintonesque style:

“We also have to make sure that it doesn’t go too far, like I personally deplore the tapping of Angela Merkel’s cell phone,” Clinton said of the surveillance efforts.

Guess what? It had already gone too far, and yet nobody made any attempt to make sure that it didn't. And I doubt very seriously that if she had been one of those senators Snowden had reached out to, anything would have been done. Snowden would have had to do what he did anyway.
