16. In the 1970's I didn't even know my favorite politician, Mo Udall, was Mormon. No one cared....

and the lack of knowledge hurt no one. It was Reagan and the rise of the religious right that brought it front and center as a major focal point-and our political life has been horribly cheapened as a result.
