because most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference, since most people pronounce negotiate as "ni-gotiate" or "neh-gotiate" and non "nee-gotiate." And as much as I'd like to give you an award for having the sharpest, most unbiased ears in the universe, I highly doubt you or anyone else can tell me definitively that he's about to say the n word.

The truth is, you're coming at this from the point of view of someone who already despises the man and you're letting that emotion color your judgment.

And your only real response to me is to accuse me of defending him. I'm not defending him. I'm merely saying that none of us know what he really intended to say. Could it have been the n word? Sure. But I'm not willing the jump to that conclusion based on this video. And doing so is just as petty as the GOP parsing every word a democrat says and spinning it to their advantage.

I like to think we progressives are above that kind of thing. But apparently we aren't.
