Its possible that they collaborated with the videographer to have it released 9/11 to set off Muslim protests at embassies and consullates. That could explain one reason why they were so desperate to deny the protest had anything to do with the film and blame it on Al Quaida attack.
The other theory would be that they cut embassy security funding in 2011 ans 12 which resulted in a deadly embasy attack. So they blamed Obama as a way to deflect blame on them.
But maybe they cut embassy security as part of their conspiracy with the videographer.
